Fox Home Entertainment have announced the Region 1 DVD release of What Happens in Vegas on 26th August 2008. Ashton Kutcher and Cameron Diaz star as two mismatched strangers who – after a wild night in Vegas – find themselves married. The road to annulment takes a supposedly hilarious turn when a three-million-dollar gambling win enters into the equation and a no-nonsense judge (Dennis Miller) sentences them to six months “hard marriage.” What follows is an all-out war of the sexes as the unhappy couple go to outrageous lengths to try and cheat each other out of the money. But in the end, they may just learn that when you gamble on love, you win against all odds.

Available in single-disc theatrical cut ($29.98 SRP) and two-disc extended ($34.98 SRP) versions, both are presented in 2.35:1 anamorphic widescreen with English DD5.1 Surround, French and Spanish Dolby Surround and English and Spanish subtitles. The “Extended Jackpot Edition” also features Digital Copy and over two-hours of extras including:

According to BharatTextile.com Ashton will be in the fall/winter campaign for Pepe Jeans. The pictures were shot on location at the Zorthian Ranch in Altadena, California. I have added two preview shots to the gallery you can check them out below.

Miss Guided has been nominated for a Teen Choice Award in the category “Choice TV: Breakout Show”.

What Happens In Vegas has also been nominated for “Bromantic Comedy” and Ashton has been nominated for “Actor Comedy”.

Ashton Kutcher is a busy man…

More details on the some of the interactive new media properties being created by Katalyst Media (the production company created by Ashton Kutcher and Jason Goldberg).

Last week Kutcher and Goldberg gave me a preview of some of the new properties and the business model behind it. Next week the two will be meeting with a number of big media buyers at Internet Week in New York to show them five or so of the new properties.

One of the properties they’ll be showcasing: Blah Blah Blah (to be at the domain Blahgirls.com per the image above, but the site is not yet live). It will be a daily cartoon gossip show hosted by “Britney, Tiffany and Krystle” that aims to be “like if Beavis & Butthead were drama queens, had PMS, cat fights, fashion reports, shopping sprees, and of course, lots of juicy GOSSIP!” The show will be set in Krystle’s bedroom - the preview version I saw had them watching a real video on a cartoon television and commenting on it. And yes, it was pretty funny.

Katalyst is also saying they’ll be packaging the episodes for television as well, and have a deal with a network in place. Comedy Central or MTV are the obvious guesses, but I actually don’t know who they’re partnering with.

Demi Moore, Ashton Kutcher and several of their famous colleagues — including newlyweds Charlie Sheen and Brooke Mueller — spread their wings Saturday night at the exclusive Butterfly Ball fundraiser benefiting Chrysalis, a Los Angeles-based organization that helps homeless men and women find jobs and homes.

“We love it, and we really believe in it,” Moore said before the event.

Ashton Kutcher’s first project for ABC, a sitcom called “Miss Guided,” apparently isn’t being renewed. But the actor and producer has two more programs in the pipeline: a game show called “Opportunity Knocks” and an untitled beauty pageant show.Mr. Kutcher, who got his start in “That ’70s Show” on Fox and is starring in the movie “What Happens in Vegas,” is increasingly pursuing projects through his production company Kataylst Films. “Miss Guided” first appeared on ABC in March and lasted for seven episodes. It did not appear on the network’s fall schedule.

But “Opportunity Knocks,” another project of Mr. Kutcher’s, did earn one of the two new time slots on ABC’s slate. Here’s how ABC describes the family trivia show:
